(design.inspiration) olivia tipler

I was at Crave Deli in Bellevue Hill the other day (I have a Bassets Liquorice Allsorts addiction - and it's one of the few places in Sydney you can get them - tip, for those who suffer the same affliction) and I noticed a really cute tea towel hanging near the espresso machine. When I looked a little closer I recognised it as one of the designs that belongs to Mozi. It's a testament to a product when it survives a fad. Tea towels have been popular design "canvases" for some time now, and this Mozi one just said "buy me". Well, I couldn't. It belonged to the shop. But I was definitely sold on the company that sisters Camilla & Olivia Tipler started in August 2005. Here, Olivia (the sister on the right of the picture above) chats to Daily Imprint.

Which five words best describe you? Loyal, (a bit) bossy, diligent, creative, fun.
What was your first job and what path have you taken since then? My first "serious" job was working as a business analyst for a large US company in Rome - upon my return to Australia I started MOZI - a short & sharp path!
What’s your proudest achievement? Learning to speak Italian fluently.
What’s been your best decision? Buying my cairn terrier Stella 2 years ago - the love is endless.
Who inspires you? My Mum and Dad.
What are you passionate about? Gardens and creating interesting interior spaces (especially at home).
What’s the best lesson you’ve learnt? To learn to listen to other people.
Which person, living or dead, would you most like to meet? Reese Witherspoon.
What dream do you still want to fulfil? Live in a country house in Spain & create a beautiful garden.
What are you reading? The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls.
