I was taking deep breaths to calm myself on Saturday morning as I learnt that Apartment Therapy had just featured my little Bondi flat (it's like the little apartment that could... just keeps chugging along, proving its worth). Here is the feature and here is the slideshow.
It's funny seeing the photos because since they were taken I've painted so many things - the bed is now Porter's Paints Rococco (a charcoal grey colour). The mahogany low boy is Porter's Paints Vatican Blue (think Matisse blue) and I'm about to paint the little white stool bright yellow. Stay tuned for pics.

Very nice Natalie. Your apartment looks bright and cheerful and retro in some of its style.
Blessings, Star
Wow. That's ultra exciting.
I love your place. I live in Tamarama, so am relatively local to you. I love how much light your place seems to have.
I am thinking of doing something similar to my bedroom wall... in a steel blue colour.
Congrats. x
so cute. i just looked at the pics. i love the airy feeling it seems to have.
Hi Natalie, love your blog - and your flat! In fact, it appears to be the exact configuration of a flat I once lived in, very near Funkis in Bondi Beach! Lots of apartment blocks there off the same drawing board, as I recall. If so, I know just how tiny the second bedroom is, so hats off if you've worked out a way to use it effectively. My flat had the wall between the kitchen and living room removed, which made it nice and airy but the kitchen was a bit unusable. The whole place was painted bright white with plantation shutters and heaps of natural light streaming in - it was like living in a lightbox.
Me again... I just looked at photo of the building exterior and realised it's my old building! I recognise the blue around the doorframe. (Next door to the yellow child care centre, yes?) I was there 2001-2002, in apt no.6. Loved it there, was very sad to move!
i've always been interested to see the layout of those glorious deco apartments. really great job, natalie. your place is a very stylish little abode - love the use of colour. loved the modest budget part, i agree, it definitely makes us more creative! is little c's space a part of your room? i couldn't see on the floor plan. x
Love the stripes in the bedroom and the apple green walls in the baby's room.... I like your placement of photos and furniture ...very unique
Now we are being teased with the changes you've made. I hope we will see the new blue mahogany low boy, seems bold...
Beautiful!!!!!! Can you come do MY house?
I know that I feel like I dont have the time or inspiration to be creative with my apartment....but I guess if I MADE the time, and watched less tv, made a PLAN, scheduled a Saturday....Any tips? I mean, I know I have little sense of style. But I enjoy a decorated apartment as much as the next girl! Im 26 and I live alone, so if I dont start somewhere, no one else is going to do it for me.
Soooo gorgeous...
