I'm always impressed when someone who you admire, and think, "how on earth do they manage to do all that they do", goes ahead and does something entirely new and fabulous. Enter Pia Jane Bijkerk who is not only a stylist, photographer and blogger extraordinaire - I interviewed her here - but she's also recently written a beautiful little book Paris: Made By Hand. Well worth checking out, and now that we're heading into the second half of the year I hope it's no longer sacrilegious to say put it on your Christmas wish list. (Blame real living - we're already working on our Christmas issue!!!).

beautiful design!
It's such a beautiful book, but I have to say I was mildly disappointed in it's pocket size. I was expecting a big coffee table book. Having said that, I do love it.
Oh I just adore this book, I need to get my hands on one! Pia is such an inspiration. I also totally adore your blog, thanks so much for creating such an inviting and interesting little nook.

Awesome creations :)
Lisa - it's more of a handbook than a coffee table book. Some great finds in there, though. Definitely something I will reference before I go back to Paris... one day!
Thanks, Sophie. It's lovely to hear such things.
thank you so much natalie! I'm super glad you like the book, and thank you everyone above for your beautiful comments.
Lisa I'm so sorry you were expecting something bigger! It is essentially a travel guide book. My publisher is called "The Little Bookroom", and they literally publish 'little books', that is their appeal. Anyway, I hope to be able to make a nice big coffee table book one day, but in the meantime, it's just this little one first. :-)

My daughter gave me this book as preparation for my own trip to Paris soon. It is such a gorgeous book and I'm marking my maps in readiness!
i think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't have this book - I'll have to get shopping!
