It was a true summer holiday. A friend's family shack. Boat access only. No shops. No news. No technology. Silence except for the sound of cicadas.
It was about taking the time to enjoy the little things in life. A caterpillar crawling. A cicada caught in a spider's web. A wallaby eating under the shade of a eucalypt. A child playing on a rope swing.
It was perfect. And I couldn't think of a better way to end the old year and step into the new.
There were new thoughts and discoveries, too. I will share them with you shortly.
