in memory of david band

David and Alfie

Earlier this year I was saddened to learn that Melbourne artist David Band had lost his battle with cancer. He was an artist and graphic designer who I admired greatly. You can read his Daily Imprint interview here.

To raise funds for his son Alfie, friends and colleagues of David have donated works to be auctioned on Sunday 30 October at Deutscher Hackett. (You can make absentee bids if you're not in Melbourne.)

View the catalogue here. For more information email info[at]deutscherandhackett.com.

Beautiful, thanks for sharing.. David did the artwork for The Melbourne Wine Room also, I used to live above the restaurant so I saw his work on a daily basis .. sorry to see him pass on.

I just read your interview with David. Love his work. I think I may talk to my husband about making an absentee bid on one of these pieces. Such a lovely cause, and beautiful work.

There's a cross section of price ranges too. Many great artists have got involved, which is wonderful.
